Hugo Zapata

(La Tebaida, Quindío, September 11, 1945) is a Colombian architect, sculptor and plastic artist. He was born in Tebaida, Quindío. Zapata studied plastic arts at the University of Antioquia in 1966. He specialized in architecture at the National University of Colombia in Medellín in 1972. From then onwards, he began his career as a sculptor, doing exhibitions in Germany, the United States, Argentina and France – among others.
