Bio

Born in Cadiz, Spain on April 22, 1932. He studied sculpture, drawing and art history at the School of Arts and Crafts of Cadiz. Later, between 1950 and 1956, took classes in the College of Fine Arts St. Elizabeth of Hungary, Sevilla, where he received the degree of Professor of Drawing. He traveled through France and Italy in 1957, before coming to Venezuela, where he established in 1959, settling in Mérida, Mérida, a city where he lives and works continuously since then. On behalf of the regional executive performs the bronze busts of the leading figures of the letters Merida, for the Writers' Park in the city of Merida. He has taught drawing and sculpture at the School and the Center Frias Esteban Experimental Art at the University of Los Andes, and professor of graphic expression and design at the School of Architecture (1962-1977) at the same university. Among his artistic and creative his work deserves special mention Our Lady of Peace (viewpoint-sculpture), built in Trujillo, Trujillo State. Opted for the doctorate in Art University of Cadiz. He received awards including: first prize for sculpture, Autumn Exhibition, Seville, Spain, 1957, honorable mention, Salon of Plastic Arts in Venezuela, MBA, 1974, second prize, I Biennial Sculpture Museum Francisco Narvaez, Porlamar, 1982. He died in Merida on March 4, 2010.
