Bio
Felipe Pantone (b. 1986) is an Argentinian-Spanish artist whose practice grew out of graffiti and evolved into a globally recognized body of work that fuses Op-Art, kinetic strategies and post-internet graphic language. Born in Buenos Aires and raised in southern Spain, Pantone trained in Fine Arts (studies in Leeds and Valencia are commonly reported) and established his studio in Valencia; his visual vocabulary — hard-edge geometry, prismatic color gradients and visual “glitches” — references both 20th-century kinetic and Op Art and contemporary digital aesthetics.
From early street pieces (he worked under the tag PANT1 with crews such as D.O.C.S and UltraBoyz) Pantone expanded into institutional and commercial realms while keeping public art central to his practice: large murals, mosaics and immersive installations appear on five continents. His work frequently explores “dynamism” and the tension between analog making and digital visual culture, producing paintings, three-dimensional “Chromadynamica” sculptures and site-specific interventions that interact with viewers’ perception.
Pantone’s curriculum is unmistakably international: solo shows and institutional commissions have taken him to Paris (Palais de Tokyo Lasco Project), Los Angeles and New York (Beyond the Streets, library/street projects), Bangkok (W3-DIMENSIONAL at Siam Center), Shanghai, Lisbon (Underdogs), Tokyo and museum presentations such as Vitality & Verve at the Long Beach Museum of Art and Art from the Streets at the ArtScience Museum in Singapore.
Beyond exhibitions, Pantone has collaborated with brands and design platforms (notably a limited-edition collector project with Hennessy) and has been recognized in design/packaging circles: his Hennessy V.S. collector’s edition won the Pentawards Luxury Platinum in 2020. That combination of public murals, museum shows and high-profile collaborations explains his reach across street, gallery and design audiences.
