Alexander Calder

American sculptor. Born into a family of artists, but was not initially inclined to art and studied mechanical engineering. Until 1923 did not enroll in art school, where he began making quick sketches of pedestrians.

Anish Kapoor - Painting

Auguste Herbin

Cornelis Zitman

Born in Leyden, Zuid province, Holland, in 1926. In 1943 he enters the Leyden Fine Arts academy attending night drawing courses, continuing them at the la Hague Fine Arts Academy. In 1947 decided not to join the army in Holland, moves to Venezuela; first in Maracaibo.

Elisabeth Frink

British sculptor and graphic artist. Some of her early work—influenced by Giacometti—was angular and menacing. She worked mainly in bronze and had numerous public commissions.

Equipo Crónica - Sculpture

The Equipo Crónica is the most representative of Pop Art in Spain artistic group. It was formed initially by Manolo Valdés ( 1942 ), Rafael Solbes ( 1940-1981 ) and Juan Antonio Toledo ( 1940), who soon left the group , from the theoretical proposals art critic Tomas Llorens.

Francisco de Goya

Francisco De Goya was born in 1746 in Fuendetodos, a town in the Spanish province of Zaragoza.
